At Heinz Nurseries, we are a family-owned, second-generation business with a passion for the outdoors. We believe everyone should have the luxury of enjoying their outdoor spaces, which is why we offer three distinct services—retail nursery, landscaping, and lawn maintenance. This allows us to be as involved or uninvolved as our customers want in the creation of their own outdoor oasis. Above all, our mission is to be “rooted in service.” No matter where our customers are in their journey, we want them to feel welcomed into the Heinz Nurseries family. Our goal is to provide an experience so memorable that they bring their children with them, ensuring our family continues to serve theirs for generations to come.
Heinz Nurseries is in an easy-to-get-to location near the intersection of Thomasville and Bradfordville Roads in the Killearn area of Tallahassee. In a beautiful setting of woods, a large fish pond, and pasture land, the nursery comprises about 8 acres of garden products, including shrubs, trees, flowers, sod, pine straw, and both bulk and bagged materials. There is easy access to all products and plenty of parking. Delivery and/or installation is available.
We understand the unique challenges of landscaping in North Florida. Our expert team recommends plants that thrive in our local environment, handling the cooler winters with ease. We also specialize in solving drainage problems and creating beautiful hardscapes, like patios, retaining walls, stairs, and fire pits, to turn your yard into an outdoor oasis. Whether it is a simple residential yard, or one of the largest commercial sites in town, Heinz Nurseries has been grooming Tallahassee grounds for more than 40 years. We find the most important quality desired of a grounds maintenance company is reliability. Our customers don’t worry whether we will show up on our scheduled service day. Heinz Nurseries lawn maintenance department has plenty of backup equipment to keep our crews working. We also have lawn maintenance supervisors who oversee work quality and coordinate special requests or extra work.
